Not for another Year

Hi Pacers

Got back from two days in Hobart for my checkup. Everything AOK. My battery has had little use in the four years and my technician said everything is fine. He is a great bloke. He was explaining everything to two trainee emergency nurses. Brian stood up with them and enjoyed the lecture too.! The Cardiac Sp was pleased with my progress and neither Cardio or Tech want to see me for a year. I ahve been given appts for 30 Oct 2008. Unless, of course I feel the need to contact them. We are so lucky here in Tasmania to have such a great team.

It took a few adjustments to get my pm at the right setting and they were talking about it yesterday. I told them about some of the problems some seem to have on this site. Everyone was very interested. My pm is set at 50 - 132 When I said how much walking I had done in NZ and the long walk uphill back from a lighthouse the cardio was very impressed. I felt quite pround of myself on that walk as an asian lady about 20 years younger than me was a real wreck. When I got back on the bus someone said - "You made it then? I proudly said. "Yep this old gal made it - not bad with a pacmaker either." I was given a round of applause.

To all those who are worried or experiencing problems. Keep on asking and complaining if you have to. They can get the setting right if they have to.

Hi to all and healthy and happy pacing. Sincere regards. Will log in later.

Thanks for the positive up date. I'm happy that you are doing so well.

And thanks for reminding everyone - especially the new pacers - that we must speak up and have them get the adjustments exactly where they sould be for each of us individually. Sometimes it takes just a little "tweaking" here and there!
