Allergies

Hi! Brief update since my last post. I have been feeling much better and my tests from March  revealed that my heart function had improved, but recently I've been having my heart failure symptoms along with allergy symptoms. Has anyone else experienced worsening heart symptoms from allergies? Just wondering if this is a thing before I call my doctor. I've never been asthmatic or had allergies this severe. My doctor has only recommended I take Zyrtec in the past for my mild allergies, but it does not seem to be working for me this season.

My allergies are raging this spring, too. I take loratidine daily, plus a nasal steroid spray. I have not heard that allergies would worsen heart symptoms, unless maybe you developed a cough from an ACE inhibitor like lisinopril, or you had extra fluid on your lungs causing shortness of breath.

I would definitely check with you doctor if you think your heart failure is worsening. You may need an adjustment to meds.

Thanks for your reply. Mainly,  my symptoms are watery-irritated eyes, scratchy throat, runny nose, chest tightness and shortness of breath. No cough or wheezing that would relate to asthma.

it's an intense allergy season

Like Julros, I take loratidine daily. I don't use the "D" version with decongestant, though - are you using the D version of zyrtec?

Persephone- No, I'm not using the D version. I'm definite the pollen has been agrivating my symptoms.
