Yellow Pimple

I have a very normal looking small yellow headed pimple on my chest about half an inch below my incision, where the pacemaker is underneath.
It doesn’t look at all like an abscess, just a normal spot. I get these elsewhere on my chest and stomach too sometimes, but not usually so close to the pacemaker. I am wondering if I need to do anything or just treat it like a spot anywhere else. Does anyone else ever get spots on this area and are you advised to do anything?
My pacemaker was replaced just under a year ago so not a new incision. Leads are over 10 years old.

Get in touch with your surgeon

Any sign of infection at or near the wound is potentially very very dangerous. The wires go from the pacemaker to the interior of your heart. Until the wound is completely closed, the wires offer a highway for infection on the skin to travel inside to your heart.
A pimple, no matter how small and innocent-looking is a sign of infection. It may be nothing to worry about, but don't try to make the call yourself. Get in touch with your surgeon, immediately.
Until you can see the doctor, keep your hands off it. Don't do anything to "treat it."
