Hi Pacers
It is winter again, very cold and I have developed my painful left shoulder again. I get a pins and needles feeling down the shoulder blade at times. My Doc says it is osteo arthritis and had it xrayed. I get the results on Monday. I have had this pain on and off since my pm was put in on my left side below collar bone. Anyone else suffer the same prob and how do you cope. It is so painful and affects driving. Keep well folks.

I just found this Pacemaker Club tonight and feel normal once again. I have a number of problems, amongst them the sore shoulder. To get a follow-up was like trying to get to the moon, but I did with the surgeon (the Cardioligist claimed not his area). I was told to ice it.
I since met with the cardio Dr. and mentioned the soreness everywhere and he says it could be scar tissue. I think the worry of it is also as painful as the issue. Please keep us advised. I too am doing exercises. I do not have this all the time but when I do it is a killer. Good luck and I will look for your report Marie in Florida

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
Is it possible

that you have developed frozen shoulder? It can be aggravated by any "injury", including surgery. It is also VERY painful. Treatment is anti-inflammatories, ice packs and physical therapy to help move the joint and keep it from freezing.
If it is frozen shoulder, you can try over the counter Advil (ibuprofen) and an ice pack for 20 mintues three times a day (I used mine more often). It can help greatly in reducing the inflammation in the shoulder joint and that reduces pain so you can do the therapy and exercise the shoulder. Frozen shoulder can last for a long period of time so doing something sooner rather than later will help retain more range of motion in the joint.
Good luck and let us know what your xrays show.
