I may have to have radiation to my chest, and was wondering if any one here is a cancer survivor and undergone radiation to the area of the pacemaker. I am concerned the PM may burn out, short circuit, or something worse, during or because of the treatments

Sorry about the radiation. I had radiation 4 years ago and it can't be confirmed but that is problem what damaged my heart timing causing me to have pace maker. I have had my PM for 2 months now. I would ask your doctor about the radiation. My radiation caused extreme fatigue for over a year! Hang in there!!

Other members have had radiation, was hoping one of them would see this and reply! Have you tried searching the older posts?
