Bi-Vent PM

Please let us know if youi find that the bi-vent PM helps your EF a significant amount. Or more importanly, I guess, if it makes you feel better. My EF is in the low 30 and the Dr. is talking about a bi-vent unit for me but I've had so much trouble with a dual lead unit I am hesitant.
Thanks,
Silversmith

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.
Bi-Ventricular unit
by Debbie - 2007-07-05 01:07:10
Brenda I see the doc on Tues about getting a new unit like the one you are talking about. I have dilated cardiomyopathy with an EF of 20% also. My first icd was implanted in July 2005. I will find out what info I receive on Tues and let you know. Please respond and let me know what they told you about the possibility of your EF improving with the new unit. Any others out there have this new unit????
Take care and best of luck,
Debbie
