I have had my pacemaker now 14 months and my lead revision 9 months. Now my pacemaker feel heavy, almost like it is pulling. I had an X-Ray and the Dr said it looked fine. What would could be causing this? It feels like it did after the orginal implant. I have not felt like this since 2-3 weeks after surgery, It doesn't hurt just more uncomfortable. Thanks Dave

Is your PM more mobile now?

I wonder if your PM's anchor stitch has broken or pulled out (generally you feel the latter)?
If your PM is now more mobile then this may be the cause of it feeling heavy, and if the anchor stitch has broken then it might start moving around towards your armpit.

Hi, I'm not sure why it would feel heavy, especially since the newer PM are quite small.
why did you have a lead revision so soon?
what make do you have?

Heart was not liking the dual chamber pacing in the lower ventrical, we revised the bottom lead to a HIS lead and that made a world of difference.

The pacemaker does not feel any more mobile now than it did before. It feels like the pulling is coming from the top, ie lead attachment area.

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.

Have you considered contacting the manufacturer or your rep ? That seems like something they should be able to fix.
