Has anyone heard if having a pacemaker puts you at greater risk if you get Covid 19?

It will be a long time (likely years) before there is enough academic research surrounding the novel coronavirus to really know why some patients have more sever responses than others. There is not yet any evidence of pacemakers themselves adding any risk, however if you have a pacemaker this means you have some form of heart disease that was or is severe, this puts you into what they are calling the high risk category. So it's not the pacemaker it's the underlying condition. It will be a while, like I already said till they can sus out which types of cardiovascular disease increase risk of complications or death from covid-19 and to what degree they affect patient outcomes. My advice is hunker down and stay safe till we know more.

No increase risk with Covid-19 having a PM.
Based upon available information to date, those at high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19 include:
People 65 years and older
People who live in a nursing home or long-term care facility
People of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, including:
People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
People who have serious heart conditions
People who are immunocompromised
Many conditions can cause a person to be immunocompromised, including cancer treatment, smoking, bone marrow or organ transplantation, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications.
People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)
People with diabetes
People with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis
People with liver disease
Here in the UK we know about these things! ( 34 700+ deaths to date)
