I was monitored with a Zio Patch for ten days because of an abnormality that showed up on my exercise heart rate monitor. The result was that I had 3200 heart rate pauses of between 3 and 6 seconds over the 10 days. All occurred at night. My cardiologist sent me to an electrophysiologist and he implanted a pacemaker. I am with a different cardiologist now who questioned why a sleep study was not performed before deciding on the PM. Bottom line, Zio Patch experience was very useful.
