Under the muscle

Hi I am due to have my battery changed in the next 3 months I go to whiston hospital Merseyside l asked today if it could be fitted underneath the muscle as mine protrudes and affects my confidence in relation to cloths, now I know we are lucky to have our NHS and I do appreciate it but have any of you gone from under the skin to under the muscle in the liverpool area, my tech says she doesn't think they will do this as I would have to go to the Royal so that's changing councils what's your thoughts on this.

Also do they use the same scar area

Hi

I had my first device fitted in November at Liverpool Heart and Chest under GA and sub-pectoral, so deeper than usual. They did this because I am thin.  It does stick out but not that noticeable really, unless you knew. The scar is almost invisible. excellent service in Liverpool under Dr Wright.

good luck!

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
