Does anyone with a pacemaker who has the new e-boxer Subaru hybrid Forester have experience of the key-less locking system ? I am both a pacemaker novice and a new owner, and I am finding it difficult to locate the positions of the transmitting aerials in the car.

I wouldnt worry about it. I got a 2018 keyless entry Subaru 2 years ago and read the manual after I got my ICD, with all the warnings in it. I asked the Medtronic Rep about it as well as my EP and it was the first time either one of them had even heard of such a thing. They said that it wouldn't be an issue.

Many thanks for both your comments. the radio frequency used in British Subarus is 134.2 kHtz: is this the same in the USA?

My understanding is bluetooth IS the right frequency for the long range radio used by the take home boxes. Still nothing to worry about, wrong protocol.

You don't have to worry

The keyless entry units aren't any problem with the pacemaker. They're the wrong RF (radio frequency) and won't bother the pacemaker. You don't have to worry.
You also don't have to worry about TV broadcasting towers, cell phone towers, microwave ranges, etc. Wrong frequency.
Hope everything else is going well for you.
