I have had my Pacemaker 4yrs. Really appreciate what it has done for my health.
In this message, I am wondering about fitbit adjustments, not pacemaker adjustments.
Since my Pacemaker keeps my rate above 60, will my sleep data be accurate since it relies on heart rate slowing as well as movement) ? Should I use the normal or sensitive sleep setting on the Fitbit.com website.
Fitbit keeps adding more functionality, which is great. I just wonder if some of that functionality is accurate with a pacemaker. I currently am using Fitbit Versa 2.
Thank you

FitBit

I've had several FitBits over the past five years. None are all that reliable but as long as you understand their faults, they're not too bad. I currently use a FitBit Blaze (previoulsy a Charge, I think it was). It does track my sleeping heart rate fairly well, though during the night I'll change position and it'll start giving wacky numbers (instead of 50bp, it'll start reading 90bpm or 130, or...). It also shows where my pacing rate changes from 50 to 80 or verse visa (the PM tech screwed up the clock on my last visit). I certainly don't trust any of the sleep quality data when paced. It can't know what your body is doing when your heart is controlled artificially. OK, it can tell by movement that you're awake but that's about it.
It also reads fairly well during the day, unless it doesn't. I know what my heart rate is during exercise (same exercise every day). Again, it'll read correctly unless it slips, then it'll read whacky numbers like 140, 180, 200, and above. I'll see that and readjust the band and it'll go back to the correct numbers (~110). I think this problem is the same with all puls oximiter type pulse measuring watches. Its placement on the arm is critical and watches move around some.
All that said, this is my last FitBit. I don't like the new models and I certainly don't like Google buying them. I'm looking closely at the Samsung Galaxy. My Blaze is getting a little long in the tooth (doesn't hold charge all that long) and I don't particularly like what they're doing to the app. It's a lot less reliable and I think they've screwed up the human interface.
