Backpack blower

My husband has the same backpack blower!  I've used it many times with no problems.  The straps might make your incision and pocket area sore, since you just got the pacemaker a few weeks ago.  It's a good excuse to hire out the fall cleanup this year.  There shouldn't be any issues using the blower next year.

Thank you !

That’s good info ...... I was asking my cardio and other doctors in the hospital -

I finally realized those guys have never even touched a back pack blower !  Some may have seen the lawn service guys using them but that ma about it hahahaha.

Gasoline powered tools: 12-inch distance recommended

Hello - I checked the Medtronic user guide and they recommend a 12-inch distance for ignition systems of gasoline powered tools. You might want to reconsider doing the work yourself.

Take care.

At three weeks, there is still a risk that you could dislodge your electrodes, so I would leave it for this year.

Leaf blower backpack

I had the same blower, and decided the possibility of interference was not worth it.  I hired someone to blow the leaves (long driveway), and so as not to be temped I sold him my blower.  I then went out to by a Stihl hand held blower to do lighter blowing.  Why chance it?  Do you feel lucky today? Well do you?

Blower

I have decided to skip this year and see how things unfold .  Some family members have volunteered to handle it ...... this will be first time in 30 years I haven't handled my own yard business responsibility .  I feel like an elderly person whose keys have been taken away :( .
while I am not a love to work in the yard guy it's on the fall list of stuff to do ..... kind of a leaf war I fight and win every year.
I am grateful for everyone's response and certainly grateful that my family is stepping up ...... hopefully they will do this like I want it done LOL - I'm a begger who can't be a chooser this year I guess !
