Pacemaker for type two block

Medicare does not allow a pacemaker for type two heart blocks ,  Say I bought the pacemaker myself. Almost all cardiologists depend on a medicare practice and will lose their ability to have medicare if they proceed with such a pacemaker, purchased by the patient.

How can one get around this problem?

I am on Medicare and my pacemaker and surgery was 100% covered by Medicare and my supplement.  I have a Type II block.  I don't know where you are getting your misinformation.  I am really surprised that a device manufacturer would sell a pacemaker to a patient.  There is more information here than you are telling us.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
