not unusual

It's a fairly simple surgery but it's still a surgery and a trauma to the body so it takes some time to bounce back. It takes time to get the drugs out of our system, to start sleeping normally again. I felt mostly myself by the end of the first week but napped a lot for a full month.

Tired

I was tired before I got my PM, but thought it was due to working retail during Christmas, working two jobs, taking care of family etc.  However, after getting my PM in Feb. took almost a year to get back to what I thought was more energy.  It still wasn't good, I would sleep 10 hours at night, have a nap for 2 hours daily, and still be exhausted.  I finally went to my Dr. and told him and he sent me to a sleep clinic where they found I had Sleep Apnea (85 episodes a minute) and now have a CPAC machine.  I love it!  From the first night using it, I slept 6 hours woke up rested and had energy all day long.  You may have more going on then you think.   Funny thing is before I had the PM I felt like I slept well and I didn't snore.  After getting it is when I felt exhausted and started snoring.

You know you're wired when...

You can proudly say you’re energy efficient.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
