Wound Site Oozing

A week and a half after surgery my wound started to seep. I have made sure to follow all directions post procedure. I was double sutured underneath, and had surgical glue over the top. Looks as though the wound shifted slightly, and the incision mark has separated from the skin. Not too bad of a leak, but am just wondering if others have had the same thing? My first pacemaker didn't have any issues with the incision, but the doctors left the bandages on. This time they pulled everything off less than 12 hours after surgery. Almost pulled me out of bed while ripping off all the tape. I do see my cardiologist tomorrow.

Seeping

I'm a week out from my 3rd pacemaker implant. This time around I had what my Dr. called an "Ozing" wound.  I have kept a close eye on it and It is healing up quite well. However, my instructions when after leaving the hospital were this... If I have any additional oozing to please call the doctor.  I haven't had any problems but I was told that I might and I should call them.

I strongly suggest that you have the inscision checked out before too much more time passes.

Thanks for your comment. Had my appointment yesterday and they were not concerned. They put a temp dressing on, and the wound has gotten better. Just a tiny bit of seeping during the night, but nothing like a few days ago. They do think that the surgical glue may have caused it when I reached over to my right side. Been pretty good to not lift the arm or lift anything heavy. Congratulations on your 3rd device. Hope you are doing well in your recovery.
