I have had a pacemaker fitted recently. My BP seems to have gone down to 80/50. Can this be due to the pacemaker or not

No correlation
Likely they put you on some BP meds which caused this drop. Reduces the workload on your heart
BP Low Issue

No. Your BP is not directly effected by the PM. It will depend on if you are dependent on it, or if its just there to assist your heart rates? You may have another issue altogether on why your BP is low. Check with your doctor to see where they set your lower heart rate at. You may require that they reset your rate to a higher beats per minute mimimum heart rate. My original PM was set at 50 BPM's. Now my new one is at 60. Good luck.

I don’t see why

i wouldn’t see why. Your pacemaker only controls your heart rate by speeding it up if it has to or slowing it down if it gets really really high. Also as a clinician myself I cannot see why that would have any correlation. It may be a separate issue, or maybe check your pacemaker is working properly? Do you feel other wise well? I would see a GP as that is a very low BP and you don’t want to faint.
