Medtronic Pacemaker Vibrated

My pacemaker just did a slight vibration. Does anyone know what that’s an indication of? I searched the internet and it’s confusing.

Maybe it's happy to see you.

You can look up the manual for your PM model online but this normally means your battery is running low.  Depending on the model, it could be just about anything, though.  Usually nothing good, unfortunately.

In the UK Medtronic devices don't vibrate they make an audible alarm.  May be different in other regions but I highly doubt it.

Medtronic Pacemaker info

Medtronic pacemakers do not have a vibrating mechanism inside them, so they are incapable of vibrating. They also don’t have a speaker mechanism, or alerts of any kind. So they do not vibrate, or make noise. Only Medtronic ICD/CRT-D units make audible noises.

St Jude ICDs vibrate when there is an issue.

@DouglasRachac is this information true for newer Medtronic ICD devices as well. Have an older relative with a double chamber Medtronic ICD, who suddenly felt vibrations down their left arm, 2 months post insertion. The description of the vibration (like a vibrating cell phone) matches other mentions on this site. Also, there has been no alerts from the device, and they otherwise feel fine. Thanks.

Medtronic buzzing

I have a Six year old Medtronic crt-d and it is the middle of the night in Australia. 2am.   My Medtronic woke me and my husband up an hour ago buzzing.  I've felt it before in the last few weeks at around 1am and thought it was one of our old fitbits buzzing. El this time I don't have mine on (old old model)and he says he heard the buzz.  Now panicking well try8g not to panic actually, because I can't ring anyone.  I live regionally and there are very few of my devices around here.   And one half decent cardi-tech.  My heart rhythm guy is in Sydney 200 k's away.  No warning from anyone about buzzing and now people are saying they don't buzz.  Yet he heard it.
gonna be a long night.

You know you're wired when...

You have a $50,000 chest.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
