Hi all I’m new to this forum and new to living with a pacemaker, I only had it fitted three months ago , the thing I noticed immediately is that the pacemaker interfears with earphone or ear buds when listening to music and that they can cause the pacemaker to have problems ,so I looked everywhere for a set that were pacemaker safe and I mean everywhere, with no luck so I dicided to adapted my own after a lot of research and trial and error I have done it completely pacemaker safe earbuds and I just wondered if anyone else would be interested in these please message me

They cause problems?

I got a nice pair of Samsung bluetooth headphones that I actively use all the time. They have a magnetic clasp on the buds that hangs down the middle of my chest. I constantly forget that they hang where they do and migrate to just above my implant site, that said I've never had any problems. About the only things I worry about are giant batteries, generators and elevator motors I'm near at work.

Bluetooth is never a problem. In fact, pacemakers use Bluetooth themselves. The problems have been with high-end headphones with rare-earth magnets, laying directly on the pacemaker. The magnet trips the "default/MRI" red switch, causing the pacemaker"s programming to go into its "safe mode". Ear buds are too small to cause a problem but it's probably a good idea to keep them away too. Nothing to lose sleep over.
There is NO problem with EMI with headphones but you're also never going to find a corporate lawyer to print that on a package of ear buds, either.
well aware

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
Good reason

They're all safe but the best headsets can cause a problem if you put the headphones DIRECTLY on your pacemaker. I was told to not let anyone listening with headphones while laying on the left side of my chest. Uh, OK. Other than that, don't worry about them. It's probably not a good idea to dangle them around your neck but I forget and do it all the time with my Bose SoundSports.
