itching

I got the PM on thanksgiving 2018 and had a lead revision 8 weeks later.  I itch all the time now.  The first time around, I attributed it to the steri-strips but my EP did not use them the second time and I still itch!  Tops of the shoulders, a bit around the PM wound, my upper and mid back.  I try not to scratch but it's really bad!  Has anyone else had this and could it be a reaction to having a foreign body?  I've been using CeraVe that my dermatologist gave me for another itching thing months before this all happened, and it helps, but oh my gosh - it's really awful

thanks!

That is very unusual. Have a chat with your ep as well as dermatologist.

The scar tissue from my CABG, over four years ago still itches from time to time. It was really bad for a year. My PM scar itches a lot for six months and now is more or less an extension of my sternotomy scar, itch-wise.

I think the cut some nerves when they did the sternotomy and it took a long time for them to heal. We're all different and each case is different.
