Why not just ask your doctor why he wants you to wear a Holter monitor? I can't believe it's for a skipped beat when yuou have a pacemaker installed
been there done that

AgentX86 spelled it out. Feels very disturbing, feels like you missed a beat and then the one that does come is extra hard, waiting for the pow then it comes. But with the holter it was certainly a weak beat, your heart has to fill the chamber they cant just stick in an extra one, they have to wait some amount of time to fire again (or you fired the weak one and they have to wait before they fire a normal one). If I understand right my device records these events happened (PVCs) and the next interrogation they at least knew some were there. In my case the holter recording provided the info on the problem the tech from the pacer vendor showed and made a tweak and the problem went away.
No real reason to worry about wearing a monitor, sure you cant shower for a day, the pads might be itchy, the holters are much lighter now, when I started they were a cassete recorder if you know what that is and not a sony walkman sized, okay maybe the early walkman size. I think it had a shoulder strap to hold it. My last one a couple-three years ago clipped on my belt.
If they can catch something while you have it on they can make progress. Otherwise they have to catch it while you are in the office and hooked up. Verbal descriptions of how you feel may or may not cut it. the monitor is not really a burden for what it may provide them.

Holter monitor shows up that there is need of lead changing, due to old leads beats are skipped and went as low as 30 . I wrote this post for my friend he is going for lead changing surgery. Hope everything will be fine.

Syncopated pacemaker

Yes, it's surely possible to have "skipped" heart beats, even with a pacemaker. These generally aren't skipped at all, rather an extra weak beat that you don't detect because the heart hasn't had time to fill between two. Basically either a PAC or PVC can cause this phenomenon. Neither are particularly dangerous. I had a string of PVCs last night, in fact. This is unusual for me. They're something to tell your medical team about but nothing to worry about.
