Seat belt use

There have been many discussions here recently about ways to pad or move seat belts around pacemakers and scars. My favorite is the "sheepskin" covers, sold in pretty much every auto store in the country, including Walmart. Just position it so it doesn't touch your pacemaker, rather lifts the belt over it.
Do not leave the belt off or put it behind you. It would be a shame to waste the surgeon's time and a perfectly good pacemaker when you're ejected from your vehicle.

4 for $10.99 at Amazon - I use them for my PM and my wife uses them after breast cancer.

Going through the windshield is never a good idea. IF it's not comfortable, they sell pads or some people wrap a washcloth around the seatbelt.
