Almost new to the club!!

Heading in Aug. 29 2018 for my pacemaker. How long will it take to return to work? I work overhead with both arms and drive a forklift so my arm/chest/shoulder is in constant motion/turning and twisting. I know each case is different but can anyone ballpark a timeframe? Thank you!!

Overhead

Four to six weeks, at least, for (left hand - presuming they put it on the left side) overhead work,  Reaching below the shoulder and in front of the body, perhaps two weeks.  Working with your hands directly in front of the body (not extending the arm), as soon as you feel comfortable doing it and feel able to return to work.

There is also a 10lb limit on lifting (both hands) during the 4-6weeks.

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
