Miss my heart beat rhythm

I think that this might be a dumb question but I don’t know who else to ask. Had my pm implanted March 5, 2018 and I’m feeling fine. When I sit quietly and can hear my heart beat it doesn’t sound the same as it used to. Has anyone else noticed this ?  Mine sounds more like a rattle.  I had this before when I was in full heart block.

I just love reading about other people with the same condition as myself. This site is awesome!

I had an irregular heartbeat.  So after I got my pacemaker I was surprised about two things, 1) a regular heartbeat, 2) a much stronger heartbeat.  Since I felt OK otherwise obviously the pacemaker was doing its job.  It was hard to get accustomed to at first.  Now I don't even notice but I am very happy for the results. 

You appear to be one of those fortunate (or unfortunate) people who can both hear and feel their heartbeat.  Fortunate in that you'll be able to notice some things other people can't.  Unfortunate in that you can some times be alerted to things that may not be a problem.  

The first thing you do after hearing the unusual heartbeat is to look around and see if you feel OK.  If you do, don't worry about it.  Second thing to do is to call your EP's office, explain what you feel is going on and let them tell you if you need to worry or not. They may have you stop in for a pacemaker reading but if you're feeling OK otherwise I wouldn't worry too much.  Usually when something goes wrong you'll know about it almost immediately.  (Afib with RVR is really rough and I knew right away something was wrong.) 

I was out with the dogs when my second lead kicked in for the first time.  Got the usual, "What the heck????" The dogs looked at me like I was insane.  But after a few minutes everything returned to normal and I was doing OK otherwise.  Talked with the EP, confirmed the lead kicked in.  So now I have a new feeling to add to the repertoire my pacemaker occasionally causes.  But since I'm alive to complain about it I feel I'm in good shape.
