Thanks Tracy for advice.Hubby has had ICD for just over 5 years(his second one as first one was total replacement when he fell and a bone in his collarbone broke the lead.He was a bit fragile at first when 2nd ICD was replaced but now 2 and a half years on he just gets on with everyday life and you would not really know he has heart issues (CHF,AF AND LBBB).Think our trip of a lifetime to America next year visiting Florida and then going on a Disney Cruise will be quite gruelling for him as long flight, long days and believe it quite hot in April but just wanted advice on limitations-at 66 years old he not to worried about the thrill rides ( certainly don’t want ICD to fire as already had done twice)just want him to enjoy as much as possible
April weather

April weather is hit or miss. This year has been cool and we've had very few humid days so far. Other years, it's crazy by March. We prefer to go to the parks early when they open, take a break at the hotel after lunch, then go back late afternoon/evening.
I'm a long time Fl resident, Disney and Universal annual passholder, and been paced for 20+ years now. I never liked the thrill rides when I was younger but I think something snapped in my head a few years ago lol, now I make a game out of doing things that used to scare me. If you have questions about playing in Florida, feel free to private message me.
Did you know there are travel agents that only do Disney? They are magicians and know way more than I do.

Yesterday I moved to a new place in my mind and realized how bad I felt 'before' and the difference my pacemaker has made.
ask his doctor

If you listen to the theme parks, they don't really want us on any of the rides beyond the most gentle. Those rules are made up by the lawyers, not the doctors, and put all heart patients under one umbrella. We are all different with different limitations and needs. Ask his doctor what is safe for him.
How long has he had it? We need to be more careful the first year.
My doctor hasn't given me any restrictions so I go on pretty much anything other than the fast newer coasters that use magnetic brakes. The safari at AK will bounce you around a bit but it moves very slowly on an unpaved road in a big Jeep type bus. Everest has some crazy hills and spirals. That's about it at AK, the rest there is more about the animals than the thrill. What other parks are you going to?
