More about micro pacemakers.

Hi all:

Well I just had a "tune-up" at my cardiologist and asked the tech about the micro pacemakers.  She said 3 of their doctors were implanting them.  She also said she understood they were considered "experimental"  whatever that means...  She also said she heard they only lasted about 2 years and she questioned why anyone would even consider implanting them...  Sooooo...take this for what it's worth...She's not a doctor, but she is a very good tech...Just passing the info along...

Okay, here's the link to the tiny pacemaker made by Medtronic which was just approved for use in the U.S. April 2016.  Though it says here on the Medtronic site the device should last up to 12 years...the tech I was speaking with definitely told me around 2 years...Don't know why the discrepancy....Very odd...
