I had a short episode of NSVT. I have heard conflicting things about this scary episode. I want to know, if you have a pacemaker for SSS does that mean you don't have a structurally normal heart? I read that having NSVT in a "structurally normal heart" does not raise your risk more than anyone else. But, I have a pacemaker. Does that mean I don't have a structurally normal heart. Dr said my stress test was normal, echo was normal with 65 ejection fraction. So, he does not want to do EP test. As you can tell, I am still worried about the NSVT of 12 beats!! Any help would be great!! Every time my heart skips I freak out now!! Thank you all in advance!!ileen

I got a big thump then kind of whited out and felt vertigo! So I knew it happened believe me! ( I went and did a download after I felt better that is how I found out what it was) What I read about is that NSVT is a Potientelly (sp) dangerous rythmn as it can become Sustained VT and go into VF. I read some bad things about it online. But, in a structrally normal heart it says the chance of sudden death is no more than in any other person. Hey, you know me, I freak out. The Dr said he was not worried, I said what if it happens while driving, he said" well if you live come see me!" Ok not funny, but nurse said he was trying to lighten the mood ! Hah! Thank you Tracey!! Hugs, Ileen
stop looking online ;)

Trust your doctor, not Dr. Google. Dr. Google has never been to med school.
Normal

A pacemaker is for an electrical problem, not a structural (mechanical) issue. Your heart is structurally normal. Your mind however I have serious question about. You really need to pull yourself together and stop the paranoia
Thank you

Tracey E, you are right! Gotta stop the goggle obsession!Thank you! And ROBO Pop, you are also right, thank you, I have panic disorder, and let my mind rule my emotional self. I go to therapy, but if I don't practice what I learn, then ... freaking out occurs. Back to basics! Thanks guys!!
Normal Heart

Recently got a false positive for blockage from a chemical stress test. So doc did ultrasound on heart and an angiogram. I have no blockage and my heart muscle is normal according to the tests. Was not happy that a false positive inspired an angiogram, an invasive heart procedure. Had just replaced my pacemaker and one lead (another invasive procedure) a few days before. Really laid me low for a few days.
You know you're wired when...
You can finally prove that you have a heart.

I am no expert, but I believe that without the defibrillator that I have, I would be dead.
structurally normal

Your heart is structurally normal. SSS is an electrical problem. 12 beats is nothing to be concerned about, especially if your doctor isn't worried. He knows your history. If you didnt have the pacer, you wouldn't even know it happened.
