Last Saturday, for the second time, I passed out while driving my vehicle. Fortunately, there was no major property damage on either occasion. Notwithstanding, for my wife, who was a passenger both times, it was quite the adventure! Although I have made light of the experience, it was a rather serious "cardiac episode."
As it turns out, the fainting spells that I have been having were the result of an escalating series of heart block events that had been occurring over the past few months. Last Saturday, was a complete heart block, to the point that they had to "jump start" me twice while I was in the emergency room. Within an hour, they called in a cardiac team to insert a temporary pacemaker through my neck until they could install the permanent device on Monday. Of course they completed a heart catheterization but did NOT have to place any stents in ... all of my problems were heart block related.
Going back to the Cardiologist tomorrow for an evaluation and wound check. Was wondering if there were any specific questions that I should ask my Cardiologist. Of course my chest is sore, but I am feeling amazingly better than I have felt in months.
Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I read your bio and went to your website. You are an impressive person, but somehow good judgement seems to have escaped you when you had a series of heart block events and continued to drive even after passing out at the wheel. Please let someone else drive for now. Make sure to give your doctor a full and honest account of your symptoms. It sounds like you may need a defibrillator insted of just a PM. Please keep up posted.

Ask him round for a drink at Christmas, you may want to keep in his good books, and how long to go without lifting your arms in celebration of your new lifestyle.
I'm a month or so into my unexpected Pacemaker and yesterday I drove my Motorhome (RV) to a nearby country park, walked for a couple of miles in the freezing icy weather with my wife, a granddaughter and our dog without any tiredness or panting for breath.
I'm just relieved I didn't drop dead from a heart block and intend making full use of the remainder of my life.
Ask him how soon before you too can do things that you've struggled to do in recent times and, if he looks a bit overweight, ask him if he'd like to join you.
Best of luck.
