A lower limit of 60 doesnt really mean 60 beats per minute but rather one beat per second. Over the course of a minute, it may work out to a little over or under 60, perfectly normal. Try not to count your pulse all the time, all the (perfectly normal) little nuances can make you crazy. Only count if you feel bad.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

It is difficult to respond to your question without more information. I looked at your member profile and that is not filled out. I will try to be helpful. I my case, I have a PM and also have AFIB and other arrythmias. My pacemaker is programed to kick in when my heart rate falls below 60 BPM. I occasionally have a heart rate of 59 at bed time. My BP cuff shows that I am experiencing some AFIB. In that situation, some of the heart beats are light and do not register, even when I manually take my HR. The HR of 59 doesn't mean that my PM is malfunctioning and really is not a concern. I have proximal AFIB and it usually stops fairly quickly. Then my HR returns to 60 or higher. I have Bradycardia, and a low HR is normal for me, especially in the evening. To get a meaningful reply to your post it would help to have more information.
