Hi everyone! I got my PM 5 weeks ago and will go to my cardiologist for a PM checkup for the first time next week. This will be the first time I have spoken with my cardiologist since the procedure as it was performed as an emergency whilst I was on a mini holiday by other doctors.
My question for all of you, is what kind of questions should I be asking at my appt? It happened so fast, I didn’t have time to think about what was happening. I had an ILR implanted in May to try and catch one of my infrequent episodes. My last episode captured by the ILR recorded a 90 sec pause.
Since my PM (after a temporary PM was implanted for a day), the only issue I have is my pulse rate will race to 104 for about a min and then drop down to 59-60. This will happen atleast once or twice an hour and whilst I am doing absolutely nothing but sitting in a chair. Is this normal?
Any insight from fellow owners would be much appreciated!
Cheers,

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
