Complete heart block

hello All,
wondering for a complete heart block ....do they recommend single chamber or dual chamber pcemaker. do they recommend pacemaker based of your body frame/heart size/electricity needed/

Selwyn gave a good response. I don't know how anyone with complete heart block (which I have also) gets by with just one lead. I think 2 are always necessary.

You will see from my reply concerning this today, re. why not just have single chamber pacing for a lady with her AV( atrioventricular) node medically destroyed, that co-ordination between the atria and the ventricles reduces the chance of heart failure in long term pacing, provided there is any SA ( sinoatrial) activity.
Pacemaker syndrome ( from the incoordination of the upper and lower heart chambers) is almost eliminated, and heart failure reduced.
One size fits all. Site of implantation can be negotiated. Adjustments made so that the lowest amount of electricity is used to regularly produce a heart contraction. This equates to longer battery life.
