Hi folks. I've been a member of this club since Feb 2017 after being diagnosed with 2nd degree type 2 heart block, requiring PM. Totally unexpected diagnosis which blind sided me. This club has been of great support in my times of uncertainty and doubt. The wealth of experience and information has been very reassuring.
I need some advice....I am currently raising funds for the British Heart Foundation and wanted to know if I'm allowed to post details of my Just Giving page on this forum? No worries if that's not permitted....I'm striving to raise as much money as possible and spread the word to increase donations.
Thanks. 💜

Good job on raising funds! I did it a couple of years ago and it's very rewarding. The Somerville Foundation is also worth a look at. Good luck, and please put a link in the comments section below so we can follow you!
Good luck

Random ICD....Thanks you for your kind words and encouragement. I am awaiting confirmation from the administrator of this site as to whether I am permitted to post details of my Just Giving fundraising page.
I had such swift care and attention from all involved in my diagnosis and treatment that I now want to give something back and fundraising for the British Foundation is my small way of doing it.

We are extremely fortunate, here in the UK to have the BHF as the premier Heart Charity..
To our friends who live in other countries, please do not see this as conceit, but share our pride that we , here in the UK, have a dedicated charity that fundraises for research and solid ,free factual info for all.
The BHF has an enviable track record for giving its free little booklets on every aspect of cardiac issues in every UK hospital and also its free Helpline..here in the UK at...well..start with the website..
bhf.org.uk/contact.
I astonished my PM Mum in Law when I could call the BHF Helpline and assure her that the 'Wisdom' about sunbathing was indeed total cobblers...I handed over the phone to the operative so that she could hear it for herself..
British Heart Foundation is a national monument and for all that is laid at the feet of the NHS...we still, all in all, do pretty well..
Those who might know me will know that I am part of 'Beat It Grantham' under the care of Mr Andrew Houghton....an inspiraton in the Cardiac World...
I met Andrew just a couple of hours ago to discuss my Replacement Valves' future...so...as much time as I needed..all the numbers and explanations..ending with Jill asking how the Family was doing..its good to be in good hands
I offer no apology for being treated so well.
Tattoo Man..Ten years into a new Aortic Valve and Five years with a Pacemaker..looking for my next 10 Kilo race

Tattoo Man1.....I applaud your description of the BHF....Couldn't have said it better myself. They do a fantastic job and it wasn't until I become unwell that I realised what a fantastic job the BHF/all charities do and it's so important we try to support them....every little helps.

There is nothing specifically in the terms of service disallowing fundraising but as a courtesy you might want to contact the site owner first.
