Pacemaker - take data logger box on holiday

I was wondering if anyone takes their data box thingy on holiday with them so that if they have any weird episodes they can then send your WiFi report? Thanx

leave mine at home

The pacer is always recording, we only need the box to send a report right away. It will still be there when we get home, and worst case an emergency room can get an interrogation if needed.

what the box does

The only thing the box can do is send a report, which they can do in an ER. They can't program it remotely. So, I still maintain traveling with the box is not necessary ;o)

Kardia ECG

The Kardia ECG is a device giving a lead 1 , one line ECG ( EKG). The device can be stuck onto the back of a mobile phone, carried in your wallet or pocket with ease.

You can then send your ECG by e-mail ( as a .pdf file) from anywhere with wifi access, using your smart phone.

I intend to travel with mine. The device now sits in my wallet and goes where I go, as does my phone.   If you can read ECGs it is very useful, or there is a facility to pay for such a person to give you a report.

see https://alivecor-uk.myshopify.com , and shop around.

Thank you, I always wondered what the technical term was for a home monitor. Data Logger Box Thingy has a certain ring to it.

When you are headed out the door for your Holiday, you are supposed to cram that DLB Thingy under your bed and forget it until you get back. There's nothing so urgent you need that box, and if it were urgent you should be finding an ER not worrying about downloading a recording and waiting for someone to tell you...go to the ER.

Holidays are for enjoying not planning for the end. Get out and enjoy yourself.

You know you're wired when...

You invested in the Energizer battery company.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
