Nine Months With PM

I got my pacemaker about 9 months ago. Things were tough at first. There was the normal post-op pain plus I had difficulty sleeping, waking up every night and couldn't sleep on my left side. The doctors kept telling me I'd get used to it. I really got sick of hearing that as things didn't seem to be getting any better.

Well things are now going very well. I barely know that I have a PM. I've been sleeping well and  feeling great.

So anyone new to PMs - hang in there things get better!

Thank you for the encouragement. I have had my PM 6 months today.  I had no signs of any problems before the day the PM was installed. I can tell physically I am so much better than before the PM.

But I am still dealing with some anxiety. Mostly I find my neck and shoulders get really tight and it causes me to feel like there is a lump in my throat. It is getting better, so I hope at the 9 month mark I will be feeling as good as you.
