I was wondering if anyone with a pacemaker has, is or ever used a bluetooth headset? I need something like that for work but was told that they have magnets in them and the electronic part isnt good for using with a pacemaker. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! 😀

It's recomented that the wires of the bluetooth headphones do not lay too close to the pacemaker.

The whole point of bluetooth is it's wireless. With regular headphones, the magnets are not in the wires, and the magnets that are in the earpieces are too small to cause problems. There are virtually no home electronics or appliances that have any appreciable effect on us.

A few months ago I was watching my iPad while laying in bed and while trying to put my ear bud in I accidently dropped the bud right on the pacemaker area of my chest. The magnets DID set off my pacemaker briefly but I quickly picked them up and the pacemaker went back to its normal functions. The magnets did not damage the pacemaker, though I don't recommend waving refrigerator magnets over your pacemaker area to see what happens. ;)
You know you're wired when...
You have a dymo-powered bike.

New pacers are well shielded. The magnets are not strong enough to have any effect.
