Hi all, I just had a chemical stress test this morning. It was good, I guess they read it sometime to day and if the tech had seen anything alarming he would not have let me leave. So,that is good news,so far. They said if if Ihaven't heard amything in a week, just follow up with my Doc at my appointment in Nov.
Now, i had to stop my blood pressure med for 24 hours.I am on Metoporol.,.25 twice a day.I have been getting vertigo for the past week or so on standing. Not passing out dizzy, just kind of room spins. Could it be the med?I am also soooo tired.
One more question, I went in to have my rate response adjusted becuase i could not stand the yucky feeling going over the road I go on almost ever day. The feeling is gone I am happy to say. But,,he just turned it off he said. Is that a bad or good thing?Maybe that is making met tired.I noticed my heart beat does not go up hardly at all unless I am biking or moving alot for at least 10 min. Should I have it turned back on? I am going on cruise soon. Need to know if this is going to make my pauses come back? Nurse did not know, Medtronics guy said no?What you guys think? So many questions. I know you have answers!!Do tell. Thank you Ileen

Congratulations, passing the chemical stress test indicates that your coronary arteries are open and that you are not at risk for a heart attack. The lightheadeness, the fatigue and the slow heart beat seem to be side effects from the Metoprolol. Check with your doctor, he might have to cut it down ir replace it with another medicine. You seem to be in better shape than what you think.

NONSENSE -- You had the test and you want the detailed results.
I had the test a few weeks back and I had the detailed printed results along with the doctors interpretation about 3 days later.
There is no way you should be hanging out without knowing exactly what the test results are.
Sorry, but I don't know enough to respond to your other concerns.
