Hi , Just wondered if anybody has had etopic beats in the days following a regular device check .
I was thinking that maybe the data investigation and speeding up the heart by activating the device has irrated something?
I`ve been assured the settings are still the same. I was ok before!
Thanks mg

Ectopics

when I first got mine nearly two years ago I got loads of ectopics for the first 6months. It takes time for your heart to adjust to the new rhythms and you become more aware ectopics are there. When I had check ups I didn't like being paced so I insist no pacing now. If everything is fine then I get a printed record of how much I am being paced by my pm etc. Just check the pm is set for what you need it for. I had mine tweaked loads before I was happy. Had my auto Checks turned off and my voltage reduced to 1.5volts. Had the delay in my pacing so my heart had a chance to kick in first. But it depends on what conditions you have yours for. When you get them try to relax and breath slowly in and out.

After an interrogation, my heart seems to be extra floppity. Even more so, if they have tested the ventricle lead.
Usually evens out in a couple of days.
I have concluded my heart just doesn't like to be messed with and the ventricles really don't like it.
You know you're wired when...
You can finally prove that you have a heart.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
no extra charge

I've had a device now for 11 years. There are times when I do experience irritating arrhythmias for a day or two after an interrogation. Doesn't always happen but often enough to get one's attention. During the interrogation, they run your heart rate up and down to test both heart response as well as functionality of your device and that can irritate your heart. My Doctor said there is no extra charge for the arrhythmias theyu induce.
If you doi continue to be uncomfortable for more than 2 days, I'd call them
