To the overseas pacemaker crowd. If you are overseas, Thailand, and will need a new Pacemaker or replacement pacemaker. Do not freak out about how to pay for it. If you are a service connected veteran. The VA, through the Denver office, has Direct Billing contracts here in Bangkok with Bangkok Hospital and the Bangkok Internation Hospital in Phuket. I recently, 5 August 2017, got a replacement done at Bangkok Heart Hospital and walked out without having to pay one penny, because of the VA.
If you don't have VA benefits and do have Tricare. Tricare has a program that allows you to pay only 25% and Tricare pays 75% in advance. Below, I posted the points of contact for Bangkok Hospital, the VA Foreign Medical Program, Nurse Thida with JUSMAGTHAI, and Bumrungrad Internation Hospital. Note: Bumrungrad does not have a Direct Billing contract with VA or Tricare. I have been to both and will tell you the level of care received at Bangkok Heart Hospital is unsurpassed, to include Bumrungrad.
