My cardiologist removed the pressure bandage 24 hours after surgery. He did it rather aggressively and quickly. Yup...it hurt but only for a few seconds. Ouch

I can honestly say when they yanked your bandage off I felt no pain whatever.

What pressure bandage. Mine was sealed with super glue and covered with no stick tape that came off of it's own volition the next morning Never had a bit of pain from any of my three implants

I had the same problem with pulling my skin off. I put argan oil on it and it did sooth it.

skin and tape

I'm allergic to the typical tape and latex, so they use a hypoallergenic tape.  They took mine bandage off before I left the hospital--probably 24 hours--and put on a clear bandage that came off on its own after a week or so.  It protected it so I could shower. The incision was closed with glue.  My reaction to tape and EKG electrodes, if not hypoallergenic, is blistering.

You know you're wired when...

You fondly named your implanted buddy.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
