Pacemaker Extraction

My pacemaker is no longer needed. Lower threshold has been turned down to 40 and I am pacing zero percent. After ablation, I was able to stop taking beta blocker and rhythm control meds which were causing bradycardia. I should have had ablation first and probably would have never needed pacemaker. I am considering having it removed because it is uncomfortable and inconvenient. Doc says it is a simple procedure. Just wondering if anyone else has had an extraction. If so, what was your experience.

Wow yes that's amazing to be told that. I think I'd be concerned in the future if I needed it again so I would just have it turned off and left inside just in case. Good luck on whatever you decide.

In the same boat

hi-I am in the same boat. I stopped taking the meds that caused the bradycardia and my pm was turned down to 30. I find out in a few weeks if it stays or goes. I have had mine since 3/2017. I have been told
it is a simple procedure.
