Probably ok but really worth a quick check in with Dr.

Odds are very high that your pacer is fine. It's titanium, a lot tougher than we are! There used to be a video on Heartbeat International's website of a boy who was shot in the chest, the pacer stopped the bullet, saved his life, and kept on pacing. I once tripped and broke my fall with my fist, ended up with a giant fist-shaped bruise right over my pacer. No damage. When in doubt, send a download if you have a home monitor or call and ask to be interrogated if you do not.

Ditto Robin's ice advice.

Thanks for the reassurance, everyone.  This site always has great info, especially for newbies.

I hit mine pretty bad once too, no damage.  Id be more worried about the leads breaking close to the pacer than the pacer itself.  Its metal your skin isnt, to do real physical damage to the device your skin would have to transfer that, you would have torn or cut it if it was that bad.

If your home box can do it otherwise go in for an interrogation they can see that the device is working and your leads are fine.

In the mean time check your pulse, count for a full minute, is it above/below your limits?  If below, well below, and doesnt stay in range, go to the ER.  If you dont feel right, if it doesnt feel like it is working, depending on your condition and number of leads you could have still broken one not the other, same deal you are enough months in to know what normal feels like now and have had some interrogations to know what not normal feels like whey they do tests...

You are probably fine, just bruised and perhaps feeling a little silly for falling...stuff happens...
