It gets better

Eventually, as your body gets used to your new pacer and it gets used to you, things will get better.

Keep in mind that it is not just your heart that has to adjust. Your chest is physically healing from being cut open. That means you have extra endorphins, hormones, adrenaline, and other chemicals flowing through your blood stream. Also, physically having a hunk of metal inside you is something your body has to adapt to.

The important thing is to listen to your body. Take it easy, relax, and let the healing do its thing.

thanks for your words of encouragement!  They really helped. Know I have to have patience but being a very active person this is all different for me.

did it clear?

It may have been both the newer better different pacing combined with whatever they gave you for/during the surgery.  Did they give you something to "calm you down", were you awake for it or do you not remember it?

I am getting better. They did give me something to "relax" me and I was out for the surgery. I did have two surgeries within two days. Saturday they put a temporary one in to see if that was the problem and then Monday had a permanent one put in. I was out for both..
