Oh my gosh! I am so glad I found this website. I had my pacemaker implanted on Friday, June 16 after wearing a heart monitor for a week. Had an episode of my heart stopping for 8 seconds which thank goodness the heart monitor caught. Procedure was scheduled for the next day. Still haven't had a lot of time to process all that has gone on in the past 48 hours, but after reading lots of comments on here, I feel so much better. Thanks for the encouragement. Looking forward to being over the healing process and getting on with life!

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
Newbie kinda too!

Hope you are feeling well today! I am still coping with the ins and outs of this thing myself! I got mine in December. Still learning about some of the weird sensations I get. Tracy is a world of info. As are most people. I have anxiety disorder, makes it hard to deal with stuff. I had a internal monitor in for a few months, they found I had a 3 secound pause at night and a 4 second one right when I was coming out of total knee replacment! But, the doctors missed them both, and I did not learn about them for 4 months later. I was very angry and worried, and changed drs. I was lucky nothing like passing out driving happened. They said the beats fell off the paper, or some other lame excuse. So, now, that cant happen. But, still having palpitations which make me crazy!! But, I am happy I have this thing now!! I was having so many low low heartrates at night! ( that I did know!!) I hope your recover goes well and send me a message if I can help!! You are gonna be great! Attitude helps alot!! Hugs, Ileen!
