Interesting thing happened to me the other day, i was working on my friends car, and ended up becoming ground for the coil on the car. 30k volts went up my left arm and knocked the crap out of me.
Told my cardiologist about it about a week after it happened when i went in and he tested the unit to see if it had reset or gotten damaged.
Nope it was fine as frogs hair.
So you can get a 30k high voltage jolt and it not kill your pacemaker.
Though i wouldn't recommend doing so.
Its interesting though i got approximately .30 joules of shock from the coil and this pacemaker gives you 40 joules shock when it goes off. Now i can say this much that is a crap load of a load. I'm quite sure that i will repeat the naughty words that i uttered the other day and then some!

If you think that is bad you should try cardioversion!
The clever makers of pacemakers have all sorts of built in saftey features to stop current overload .
It is a shame that Britsh Airways computers don't have the same technology!!
