Wednesday it was 138/78 in a doctors office. Yesterday it was 90/60 in another doctors office. I know BP will fluctuate but that seems like a huge drop. So now the doctor reduced one of my meds that I have been taking for 9 years based on the low reading.
Fickle BP? I don't go back for 6 months so now my questions will have to wait.

seems strange to change your meds due to a single 'low' blood pressure reading, especially in light of readings the day before. High blood pressure (>134 systolic) is far worse than low, and believe or not we have been fighting to get mine back down into the 90/60 range. Lower blood pressure reduces the work load on the heart and reduces detrimental effects of high pressures on the heart overall.

Seems like a big drop to me too. How did you feel when it was that low? When mine goes below 100/60, I feel terrible.
At my GP's suggestion I began to monitor my BP a couple of years ago.
The Omron wrist Intellisense BP monitior isn't expensive. It's easy to use, easy to read and easy to transport. It has been shown to be as accurate as professional grade instruments.

I didn't notice any difference in the way I felt (don't know if that's good or bad), however, I have noticed I have been very tired the past 2 months.
I guess I'll start taking my bp at home at times.
Patch: I know low is good but 90/60 is definitely not my norm.....try Coreg and Altace....apparently they work like a charm. I have the generic versions of course.

What I would do, and have done, is buy a good quality electronic BP cuff or a good quality wrist BP cuff and check your blood pressure daily or more often if you choose. works for me.......
