Hello all,
I am 80 years old, and have had my Medtronic pm implanted since Dec, 2012, and for the most part doing well. I'm able to do wt lifting, walking and playing golf with no problem. I have had some short periods of afib off and on over the years, which I do not feel, lasting " few minutes to 45 minutes " I'm on asa 81 mg daily, In April while travelling out of country I had an episode of afib lasting 3+ hrrs which I did not feel, and since I'm physically pretty actve my EP did not insist priscribimg anticuagulant RX . In the past few weeks however, i've been experiencing " biting sensation in my heart when I'm pacing??" and a bruising feeling in my heart Not pain and minimal shortness of breath.
I do have an appointment with my Ep in a few days, bui I want to know if anybody had had these symptoms, and and get some advice.
Thank you
Abbass
PS: ASA is the only medication I'm taking.
