44yr old male. Have had a single lead atrial pacemaker rate of 60bpm the past 8 years for sinus bradycardia. The past couple months been Dealing with exercise Intolerance, breathlessness at times, and some noticeable left sided chest squeeze or discomfort more with activity but can occur at rest. Had pulmonary function test and echocardiogram were normal. Pacemaker interrogation was fine nothing but some episodes of sinus tachycardia. However, the stress test was fine except at the 12 minute mark I was asked to stop because of a 5 beat run of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. My EP is concerned because he said this is an ischemic type of rhythm and has order for me to have a CT angiography next week. I am between shocked and nervous. Anybody out there that is dealing with this sort of rhythm? If so, is there any questions I should be asking my EP doc about my this rhythm? He did mention that I don't show any evidence of a long QT problem. Didn't understand that.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.

V-tach I believe is a fast heartbeat that starts in the ventricles. That's the lower heart chamber. Your dr is pursuing what the problem could be and wants to rule out certain things. I think I would go on line and do some research and write down a list of questions to ask. I'm hoping some of our pm members are so savvy with issues like this and know sooo much more than I do.
