Dislodging wire lead?

I reached up and grabbed my headboard during the night and am concerned that a lead may have been dislodged -. 4 days after implant-. I've sent data via Medtronic monitor and contacted my Doctor. Would lead reattachment be possible?

As pedicted, my leads are ok per the Medtronics data review. I plan to sleep with the one arm restrained for the next month to be safe. Will continue walking and keeping active. Great information. Much appreciated!

arm position and lead detachment

There is nothing to support the idea that detachment rates are higher the higher you lift your arm.

Just do what is comfortable for you. There is no need to restrict arm position

put in another

yes they can re-attach, it is called just putting in another.  Good thing that it sounds like you dont need this.  I am not sure I agree with going against the doctors orders to keep the elbow below shoulder level for a while (30 days is what they told me).  I am sure I dont wait that long (this is not my first pacer).  I have dealt with the frozen shoulder thing and do agree that you should use the arm, just do it carefully, I would rather keep my elbow down for a while than have to go in and get yet another lead...YMMV.  I have not ripped one out though and assume that folks here have used their arms fully and not ripped them out as well...

You know you're wired when...

Your ICD has a better memory than you.
