Hi all - well my pm insertion was bought forward a few days and went in on 4/4/17 instead of the 7th....no time to really think about it at the time.
Now two days later and i feel like I have been smashed with a cricket bat...and I am surprised to say quite a few tears have been shed. I guess its the acknowledgement that we have control taken away from us occassionally and a fear of the onknown at this point. But wow , on the other side of coin, I am grateful that I live in an era of such great medical interventions. Small steps ahead, I take "heart" 😆 from all your experiences and advice.....my pm journey has begun. 👍

It's a bit of a head spinner but you'll be fine. One month after my implant I rode 50 miles on my bike in an MS charity ride. I was ticked that I didn't do the 100 I've done for years. My wife was ticked because I promised I'd only go 25 LOL!. I will be doing 100 this year and I won't be gasping for breath like I was prior to my PM.
welcome

It was a big deal for me. i had sleeping problems depression and scared. A friend told me my whole body wa getting use to the change. Befor the pacer I had 42 beats all day and 27 at night. So its been 5 years now and all is good. It took me 6 months to a year befor I felt better.
I had lots of adjustments and I read lots of the postings here they helped me a lot. When they play with the heart its scarey. You sound great keep on keepng on.

Physiological was harder than physical healing for me. The PM is dependable and will take care of you physically.
Still trying to sort through the mental issues. Ond yearvand still waiting for the day I do not remember the PM
You know you're wired when...
Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
