The new me!

Had my PM placed 03/13 and I'll tell you this much....

I have never felt so incredible in all of my adult life.

Things started really changing for me around the age of 23.  I was plagued with all kinds of strange symptoms and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, migraines, breathing problems, chronic nerve pain, kidney disease, low vitamin levels, and fibromyalgia (in the medical community some make fun of this diagnosis, meaning "i don't know what the heck is wrong with you so lets just call it this!)

In just two weeks, hell in just two days, I felt like I was living in a new body. I have never felt so energized, rested, refreshed.  In the two short weeks since my PM I have not had one single headache, I have not felt horribly exhausted, I have not had one single episode of nearly fainting, dizziness or lightheaded.  I feel more focused, motivated and .... ALIVE!

The decision to get my PM placed was my decision.  My doc said that while I do/will need one, it was not medically necessary to do right away, that I could wait if I wanted to until I got older.  But I am so happy I decided to just go ahead.  I'm still a little tender at the incision but overall it is no problem.

Besides that chocolate fondue fountain I bought myself for my birthday a few years ago, this was the Best. Decision. Ever.

Loving the comparison!  And great to hear your positive story.  So many here seem to say they wish they had gone for the pacemaker earlier, I am sure you have made a good decision.  Thanks for sharing.

well done !

the decision by you and the medical team was a good one - who knows how much more intolerances, headaches , ailments, breathing difficulties you may have endured- great decision and it's proving it works ! great to get the first month downloads for any adjustments and to find out how many times its kicked in for you. it is still an alien being as far as your body adjusts and tries to reject so will be some itching, maybe some heat but most of all it needs a month to settle and bruising to go down - keep the faith and enjoy the new you !

Chocolate is to die for, while pacemakers are to live with!  So glad to hear things are going well for you.  Enjoy your new energy.
